Bridge House is
an attractive grade 2 listed period country house located in the scenic
The house was built in 1843 and is reputed to have had various uses over
its history. It is believed to have been a counting house for local
farmers and more recently a public house known as the Castle Madoc Arms
until around the 1920's. Now owned by the Prosser family it has recently
been refurbished to a high standard maintaining many of its original
features.
Bridge House lies next to the river Honddu in an area of natural
scientific interest with direct access to public footpaths. Lower Chapel
is a small hamlet located on the B4520 north of Brecon with a range of
activities in the surrounding area. These are numerous and vast anything
from sailing , walking, horseriding , climbing and golfing.
A hearty breakfast awaits our guests with the option to book packed
lunches, afternoon tea and cakes, and evening meal. All produce is
locally sourced ,free range or organic where possible.
